Sensors & Switches

Sensors are essential for the smooth operation of engines, as they provide important information about vehicle parameters to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). These products ultimately ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and performance. In terms of switches, we distribute a number of pressure and temperature switches that are designed to provide protection for all types of internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors, gear boxes and marine and industrial power plants.

S282 Capacitance Type Oil Level Switch With Din Connector

The S282 is an active device designed to give an alarm signal if oil falls below, or rises above, a preset level. It can be specified with a delay to eliminate false alarms due to turbulence. Containing a factory programmable microprocessor, the switch offers sink to ground or source voltage output. Its small footprint with limited intrusion into the tank means a reduced risk of damage and a wide range of customer specifiable options make it suitable for most applications.

Murphy by Enovation Controls ESF Fuel Level Sender

The ESF Fuel Level Sender is a 1-wire-to-ground sender for fuel tanks and electric fuel gages.

S100 SERIES – TEMPERATURE SWITCHES

The S100 Series of temperature switches comprises a wide range of switches each designed to meet a customer specific application. They are available in a selection of body styles, connector configurations and switching temperature and senses, i.e. normally open, normally closed or changeover. This range of products has been designed and engineered to be rugged and durable, and capable of extensive service in demanding environments. Suitable for use on many industrial engines, the S100 Series can withstand significant levels of vibration, shock, temperature and humidity.

Rotational speed sensor MP series

A magnetic pickup is an AC generator. It is normally installed into the flywheel housing of an internal combustion engine, so that the starter ring gear acts upon it to generate a voltage pulse each time a gear tooth passes the end of the sensor.

Housing Material:
MP3298: Type 300 Stainless Steel.
Locknut: Type 300 Stainless Steel.
MP7905 and MP7906: Type 6061 Aluminum/Anodize Class 1.
Locknut: Steel Nickel Plated.
Output Leads (all models): Two insulated leads, 20AWG, STR/TEF insulated per MIL-W-16878D Type E, 1 White and 1 Black.
Output Voltage (all models): 200 V.P.P. TYP. (tested at 1000 I.P.S. 20 Pitch gear, 0.005 Gap., and 100K OHM Load).
Coil Resistance:
MP3298: 975 Ohms TYP.
MP7905 and MP7906: 2500 Ohms TYP.
Potting (all models): Internal portion of pickup is filled with epoxy resin, making the magnetic pickup oil and moist resistant.
Temperature (all models): -65° to +225°F (-54 ° to 107°C).
Coil Induct.:
MP3298: 800 mH max, @ 1K Hz.
MP3298: 400 mH TYP. @ 1K Hz.

Temperature Transmitter T01

STW announces the release of the latest version of their J1939 T01 Configurator tool. The T01 is the only configurable CAN j1939 temperature sensor for the mobile off highway market. With the new configurator tool, customers will be able to easily configure sensor parameters such as source address, transmission rate and data scaling.

Pressure Transmitter M01 Analog

The pressure transmitter M01 has been especially designed for applications in mobile machines. The EMC characteristics as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for this area of applications. This facilitates applications in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics. The M01 is available in two different versions. For pressure ranges of 0 … 0.25 bar there is a silicon sensing element, and for pressure ranges of 0 … 1,000 bar (up to 2,000 bar for common-rail applications) a welded thinfilm pressure cell is used. Depending on the sensing element, the max. permitted media temperature is 150 ºC / 302 °F and the ambient temperature is max. 125 ºC / 257 °F. An optional damping unit can be integrated into the media access.

ESPS & ESTS Series (Pressure and Temperature Sender/Switch)

  • ESPS pressure sender/switch
  • ESTS temperature sender/switch
  • Sender outputs compatible with EG(S)21 series gauge/Swichgage
  • Switch output operates at factory set low pressure or high temperature limits, for triggering operator warning or engine shutdown
The ESPS and ESTS series are engine-mounted oil pressure and coolant temperature measurement sensors with both resistive sender and fault limit switch outputs.

The resistive sender outputs have the same pressure/temperature versus resistance characteristics as the Murphy ES series senders, allowing use with EG(S)21 series gauges or Swichgages, engine/genset controllers or input/output modules (e.g. the Murphy MeCAN™ interface).

Switch output contacts are normally open (at normal running pressures and temperatures), with the contacts closing to sensor body/case ground when pressure falls below, or temperature rises above, the factory set limits. The switch outputs can be used with external control devices to signal fault conditions, and trigger operator warning and/or engine shutdown protection. For example, the contacts can be used in place of, or in addition to, EG(S)21 Swichgage outputs, to provide two-staged limits for warning and shutdown
